If you’ve found this blog, you have likely tasted (or heard about) our dairy-free ice cream. We are redefining dairy-free in a way that has not been done in the frozen dessert space. Our almond-milk-based ice creams are also gluten-free, soy-free, GMO-free, and gum-free. That last one is important. Our founder, Scott Emeson, creates each recipe with exacting standards and refuses to use gums to enhance texture or bind it together. It took him years to create a proprietary process that allows us to make clean, dairy-free desserts without the use of gums or additives. However, what will amaze you is the taste and texture—again, with exacting standards. Scott won’t greenlight a flavor unless it tastes, scoops and has the mouthfeel of a traditional ice cream. In fact, the comment we hear most is “I can’t believe this is dairy-free.”
You will find our all-natural desserts use clean, simple ingredients. We use almond milk as a base in order to allow the intended flavors to shine through. We like coconut milk as much as anyone else, but the taste is so strong that it frequently overpowers the taste of the dessert. With DiNoci, you will taste the fresh squeezed lemon juice, freshly torn mint leaves or pure cocoa in our flavors. Almond milk is more expensive, but we feel the results justify the expense.
